Featured Gallery Photographer - Jennifer Toole

Toronto based Jennifer Toole is a photographer, writer & cinematographer who's work has featured in such publications as Vogue and Complex Magazine. We were drawn to her collection of work that varies from Portraits, Commercial and Editorial but a common quality is how she captures her favourite subject , people. She describes her work as a process of coaxing a person’s essence out of them and capturing it on film to be remembered forever, giving her much enjoyment.

Her collection of female subjects has been described as highly sexualized, elegantly perverted scenarios with intelligent undertones , we like the sound of that of that ! She also says her work create spaces for women to love themselves just exactly as they are. Jennifer describes the experience as thrilling and healing, and hopes her subjects feel this too. She stated the aim is to pay witness to their beauty, act as a mirror with her camera, and show them just how beautiful they are through the images they created together. We think these are great objectives and we have celebrated this with a selection of her work in the Gallery.
